So often the sinister baddie but will be remembered for 'The Ladykillers', 'Hell Drivers' and most of all as Chief Inspector Dreyfus in the Pink Panther films. RIP.

    His jousts with Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther films were the stuff of legends.

    RIP to a vey fine actor, restricted in his roles by a thick accent. No-one has mentioned 'The Human Jungle', a 60s series precursor to Cracker, well ahead of it's time ... 95 !! lucky man to live so long
