    They never "gave" us anyone.

Have to say, I've never had much time for Stoke.

Never had much time for Stoke.

But they play to their strengths of being direct and dirty. They know they aren't going to pass the ball round teams so use another strategy.
  • I like stoke, always like to see them do well

Me too. Play to their strengths without any bullshit or apology. It's up to the so called better teams to cope with them and impose their own game if they can - which they often can't. Good luck to them.
  • Never had a problem with Stoke. Might be a bit of a off the wall comparison, given the choice of watching Barcelona or Stoke, i'd rather watch the Stoke game - at least you know they arent' gonna ponce around on the half-way line with 2 million sideways passes before having a shot on goal.

you would rather watch stoke than barca? never thought i'd hear that from anyone. i'm not knocking it but it's just quite a statement.

I bet we have played more hoof ball than them this season. So what does that make us?
The media has built the myth around Stoke but it's just bias. I've seen them play some nice stuff over the past few years.
Shawcross would probably have had a few caps for England if he didn't play for Stoke.

Laughable. Have you not been watching the Clasico? With one free kick, Messi has just provided more entertainment than Sterk do in one season.

  • It's not Stoke City that is the problem. It's Tony Pullis. If you put him in charge of Barcalona they would be playing tough arm hoof ball. Stoke City IMHO are a proper football club.

I quite like Stoke - I wouldn't mind seeing them do quite well! Thats without saying how great a lot of their fans seem to be.
  • read a pretty good and funny book by a stoke fan few years back, charting life following stoke up and down the country.
"she stood there laughing: a man, his son and a football club." by Stephen Foster.

    worth getting.

The more I see/hear from Tony Pulis the more I am begining to really dislike that man. They may be a mid table Premiership side but he is a Champions league moaner!
  • Good side Stoke and I usually enjoy watching them. Proper football. Pulis was right about Suarez, but also needs to have a look at waht Huth did
  • Funny how everyone says brill fans, when throughout the 90's and 00's they have more than given millwall and their like a run for thier money in the aggro stakes. Thats said I agree they are a passionate bunch and can create some atmosphere whenney want too.
