    1) Neil Heaney (deserves a mention as the forgotten man of THAT game)

    Jorge Costa, Alan Kernaghan, and the lad from Spurs(?) who scored the winner against Millwall at Upton Park.....can't recall his name but a Millwall fan on the Capital Gold phone-in had the cheek to claim it didn't really count as he was only on loan to us.

    I knew I spelt kernaghan wrong left the h out! And so many loan players I had forgotten about smertin for one :-/

    My recollection is that Pates WAS a loan from Chelsea, but for only his first game. We were signing him anyway but the deadline for loans was a few hours later than the deadline for permanents which we missed, and we needed him for whatever game was coming up so we took him as a loan first.
