Apparently it means another 250,000 in the bank for us if he actually plays.

What about Jenkinson if he decides to play for England and gets a call? Are we entitled to anything?

    Cheers

Out of interest does anybody know how many of are youth players have played for England as it seems we have a few but don't get much credit for it compared to other clubs?

Paul Walsh, Paul Elliot (B Cap), Bowyer, Parker, Konchesky, Rob Lee. Can't think of anymore of the top of my head.

He deserves it. I hope that he gets a start against San Marino. It's a game we will win and the opportune time to give a player a first cap. Shelvey has struck up a good partnership with the ageing Gerrard. And if Uncle has got his hat on straight, they should be England's central midfield until Gerrard is past it.

Bonds played for the U23s and made a couple of England squads in the days before a squad was called a squad. No full cap though

Absolute travesty that Rufus doesn't feature on that list.

I don't think so. Deserved it arguably though.

Shelvey cannot play v San Marino as suspended. Only in squad for experience and back with u21's next week.

    I don't think that's right

If you get sent off in an international then you miss the next international

If you get sent off in a league game for your club you miss the next league game

Was he not suspended from internationals as a Under21? I may be wrong though/
  • If he got sent off in an u21 or has accumulated enough yellows to warrant a ban then he could be

I thought he got sent off against man ure

I might be wrong but I didn't think he has a ban for international

He, Rufus and Bowyer all in U21s at same time I believe

As I understand it, he is suspended for the first leg of the u21 play-off but can still play full international.

He has presumably been called up for experience (or cover for Gerrard who is suspended v San Marino). He could go back for u21 second leg and so miss Poland away.
