Waste of money? good for England? should have been spent at lower level?

looks impressive i'll give the FA that.

Perhaps 3 smaller regional centres would have been better .. say York, Burton and Ashford, Kent. St G's will be purely for the elite youth development with an occassional day out in front of the cameras for disabled and blind children/footballers and the England women's team to garner favourable publicity. To run the place is going to cost a LOT of money.
  • I don't know but the bloke who opened it supports Charlton:

They reckon it will help us to win trophies within 8 years. Seriously - how do they come to that conclusion ???

Why complain? When we failed at the last World Cup/Euros, everyone was harping on about how we need to invest more in grass roots like the other countries are.

Great move and I think we will see benefits in 10-20 years.

  • Class! He's bigger than Clough!

Better late than never I guess. It should do wonders for the national team.
