(which most people know as "Sydenham High Street") has "Works" lasting until September 2013, from Mayow Road right up to Kirkdale.
Even Sunday afternoon was very busy, so, best to avoid if possible.

    Temporary traffic lights at Cobbs corner, Kirkdale & Sydenham Road.
    Queues back down to Bell Green.

    Traffic queuing back from Kirkdale (Top of Sydenham Road) down to Southend Lane most mornings because of roadworks by Sydenham station.

    I get to Forest hill/Sydenham 6th form on my bike every morning on my bike its been a proper jam everyday this week so it is in people's best wishes to avoid it.

    Only this morning there were a couple of cars on the school run stuck behind a delivery van blocking the road, unloading at the Spar shop.

    Must have been delays of at least 5 minutes.
