Didn't see the game at all but very very proud. Well done.
  • A few sloppy passes but played with an authority that few have. Parker? I think he is comfortable on the ball no matter who the oppo. Bigger and quicker. Showed more in 20 mins than Carrick, Cleverley or any of the old school have done in 90. England captain before 24. Can't see him out of squad when others become available. Start him next time Roy.
  • with lampard 35 gerrard 33 jonjo really could be a major england player, i felt really proud tonight that he played for england tonight.

Don't lose sight.of the fact people that someone some of us have seen play since he was 14/15, who this website sponsored for.two.years, and whose uncle is a member of this site, has just.come on for England.

Feels great. Always sure it was going to happen, but I didn't think he 'd manage it already at 20.

    Well done JonJo.

This thread made me cringe, read the comments at the bottom of the page, shows there are some clueless buggers in football

TBF to Parky, Jonjo didn't have the players on the pitch to play his game, the amount of balls he played through that a prem striker would have got to but our strikers at the time were about a week behind.
Norwich away he decided to play on his own
    Well done JJ!

Chuffed for him and nice to see another charlton youth product step up. Where's the famous palace youth now??
  • SO chuffed for the lad .

I'm sure it's the first of many caps.

  • Might be a trivia question for the future .... what number did Jonjo wear on his first full England cap?

    Top man.

My Swedish mate questioned my pride in the event which took place at 21.13 BST.

I reminded him that his son will soon leave home to go to Uni. But he will always be his son...

We've certainly got something to be very proud of in all of this. Who would have thought that a team in League One would go on to produce a player in the senior England team (soon to be followed by Carl Jenkinson).

Palace youth - who gives a toss.

Ahh thanks everyone. Can't begin to explain the feeling I had when the announcer called his name out to come on. Afka that was proper nice mate, I'll be at the next home game. We'll all have a beer.
