March1979, Newcastle v Charlton. Being shown in the programme. On air now, can't remember the result from back then.

    Love seeing the geordie fans applaud martin robinson's goal. Crikey, the pitches were bad in those days, no fertilisers used back then.

    I loved the whole show ,I'd forgotten that Danny Blanchflower briefly managed Chelsea and didn't Ray Wilkins look young in the interview . Petar Borota proved to be an erratic Keeper for them .When we played them the following season when Dick Tydeman scored a flucky cross shot the following season and the Yugoslavian was hopelessly out of position.

    Our game brought back memories Peter Shaw at right back didn't exactly give us options going forward although he did trundle forward for an assist for Robbo's goal.

    Technically the football was much worse than now and the stadiums were crap ,so why do I feel so nostalgic about these times ?
