Pards, like us, unhappy at our defending of set pieces

Pards, in his post match interview:

And he also admitted that the team's defending at set pieces is a cause for concern and needs to be improved.

"Our defending at set-plays is a problem,” said Pardew. "We gained some height with Paddy McCarthy and Chris today but we need someone that's prepared to go in and head it away.

"And if the two that are in there at the moment aren't prepared to do it, I'll go and get someone who will.


It sounds as if he's finally lost patience with conceding from dead ball situations and definitely is going to bring in a centre half to attack the ball in the air.

    so he should of been unhappy, we looked like strangers in the first half.

    Expect a right back to be brought in before next saturday.
