Other half was there for 3 weeks in May, she says bolshoi ballet is a must apart from the obvious kremlin & red square0

As DA9 says the ballet and krem/red square are a must. They flood the pathways in gorky park and when it freezes they use it as a massive ice rink. Not sure when they do it though, we were there in feb. Lennins tomb is only open for a couple of mornings and no cameras allowed. The underground system is worth a visit too, full of old soviet era artwork and opulent fittings.0
