  • 2 1 to us but 1 1 with our goal coming from a scrappy potential own goal depending on your angle from the stands, people saying Cardiff are much better then us until we nick a winner as they leave themselves open at the back going for the 3 points themselves.

Let's hope we sign a left back on loan tomorrow. And a CM would be nice.

Anything from this game will be a bonus, Sunday vs Bristol is where we really need a performance

Is ruben bover fit? is so maybe should be given a chance to prove himself but if stephens starts we will get a hammering cafc 1 cardiff city 5! I would play haynes right winger this pace would scare the shite out of cardiff if not green! 1-1 if pritchard and dervite in middle and bover left wing!
  • not sure what Green is doing wrong. I know Kerkar has been good but he doesn't seem to get a sub appearance. He is sometimes a game changer
  • Going to get whoooped a whopping 3 or 4 nil

Love to say otherwise but I can only see a defeat coming. Not sure of the score it will depend on resolve but I think Cardiff are going to be too good for us given our current home form.

Giving an untested LB his debut against the league leaders on a Tuesday night in November when we haven't won at home since August? Even Pardew wouldn't have done that. Pardew

Pills what pills...i need no chemical assistance..i am in fact barking mad.
  • A tough evening, I imagine we'll play a more solid formation, and try to use the pace of Haynes on the break (until he limps off) as he's one of our few players with pace.
  • If we play 4-5-1 then we have a chance as it means Powell can take a punt on a Haynes or Green as he has the extra protection

We simply don't have the personnel in this division to go 4-4-2 home or away even when you play more defensive minded players

It's our only chance of getting anything but I fear that once again we are playing a top 3 side who will be too strong for us

  • A battling, plucky and otherwise typically Charlton 1-2 defeat to drag everyone's spirits down that little bit further.

Followed by a win on Sunday.

Wedding on Saturday, so views not influenced by whatever happened there.

On paper this is league leaders vs the team 4th from bottom, so a bookies will tell you a defeat is on the cards, and if it occurs, it would not mean instant panic to me.

But i'm looking for a reslient and up-tempo performance, akin to the Leicester home game. We've got to be bold and take the game to them.

Can't predict this one, but desperately hope for a win.

I've seen Cardiff a few times on the box this season and despite their lofty position they have looked distinctly average .

    1-0 win

Go 4-5-1 and I'll take a point right now.

If we play 4-4-2 we will be stuffed.

I'd take a point now but think we'll lose by the odd goal. TJ may not push the eject button just yet but a defeat at Bristol City could see him panic and do so. Worrying times.

    i'd go for

    Hamer

    Solly (RB)
    Morrison
    Cort
    Kerker

    Green
    Dervitte
    Pritchard
    Hollands
    Haynes

    Hulse

451 - Dervitte holding midfielder, green and Haynes in particular to get up and support Hulse and pritch and hollands to work their nuts off in midfield. Sit deep, play on the break, and try to nick it 1-0.

BWP can come on for last half hour to try and do damage on the break. I'm assuming Evina is still injured? How long is he out for?
