West Ham United - I supported them until I was about 11/12 and my Dad supports them
Portsmouth - my mate supports them and I have been to a few matches
Barcelona - on holiday there (well, torremolinos) in 86 when 16 and bought a shirt. Can still just fit in it now.
Sevilla - saw them play brazil a few years back so have a soft spot for them.
Athletico Madrid - like the stadium and that they are not Real

Blimey, obviously I should really know him, as that was the period when the media were utterly obsessed by Liverpool. Which in turn is why I utterly despise them, but I don't know him? The fact that you think referring to him as Brian H is enough shows the esteem in which he was held to you chaps?kevtherev said:Brian Hall the Liverpool player
Sorry Kev, still a scouse git to me. ;-)

WBA. I always think they are a similar club to us. They always try & play decent football, with decent players, who don't tend to dive, cheat etc etc.
Their fans are a good bunch, never had any trouble with them. Their support last night was excellent.0 -
In no particular order:
Gillingham. Have lived in the area for 28 years and used to know a few of the players so take an interest
Margate. Some family lived down there and had some involvement for a while so would regard them as my "non-league" club.
Berwick Rangers. The best sort of Scottish team ie English! Added to which I've actually seen them play live albeit yonks ago now.0 -
At a game in the mid noughties, I witnessed a bloke take a beating at WBA. For those unfamiliar with the ground, you get part of an end and as you exit there are metal gates to keep rival fans in that stand apart. As we would not be seen as high risk (as oppposed to say Wolves)the gates were open.Covered End said:WBA. I always think they are a similar club to us. The bulk of our support went the other way (for buses, parking & trains to B'ham), leaving only those who had parked at the other side or were getting trains west to go through the gates. As I walked through the gates, I heard some locals having words with someone they thought was an away fan. This didn't seem correct, as I could see the other Charlton fans that had been in front of me before I walked through the gates and it wasn't them, and any other Charlton fans would be further on. The WBA fans then punched this individual to the floor and started kicking him. The WBA fans kicked each other in their desire to kick this bloke.
Then a bloke runs out of the home section of the stand, and shouts in a stong West Midlands accent "he's one of ours, he's one of ours".

TBF I just knew someone was going to say that, when I said WBA fans were a good bunch. Odds on !
I've drunk in their pubs right close to the ground and they have been as good as gold. (Queue stories of people getting agg in their pubs:-)0 -
Arsenal - Got a lot oof respect for them trying to do things the right way in football on and off the pitch, even if there fans can be annoying.
Blackpool - The number of times id bump in to some of there fans at a services on the way back to scotland after watching us against one of the northern teams and they were always good for a chat.
Man City - Recent addition as i just love how annoying it must be for all those fans of united(not a real club) that there neighbours are slowly taking over.
Juventus - Been a fan since i was a kid and luckily been able to see them live a number of times on my travels with my work.
New York Red Bulls - I love the city and they are the closest team to there so took them on as my american soccer(football) team.0 -

UK:
Brighton & Hove Albion
After the Valley Party, I went to 'Fans United' at the dear old Goldstone Ground.
B&HA were being shafted by the money men and their ground was being sold to property developers - before the club had anywhere else to play.
Fans from all over the UK (and beyond) were invited to attend a Brighton home game to show their opposition to what was going on.
Charlton weren't playing that day, so loads of Addicks attended.
The gates were opened by 'persons unknown' before the KO, and most of the crowd behind the home goal (i.e. us) got in for free. People then offered their cash to the Brighton Independent Supporters' Club.
Brighton won the game at a canter, Attila the Stockbroker ('Poet-in-Residence (!) ) span the records, and the cops were very hacked off. Beautiful.
Later on, another protest took place at the Priestfield, Gillingham, where Brighton were by then playing their 'home' games.
As you know, the club fought a long, but successful campaign to get a ground of its own in Sussex.
