very true, good to hear the crowd stay with Powell and the team. They got their reward.
  • Even at 2-0 down our support was 10 times better than Cardiffs , buzzing

0-2 down and the crowd getting behind the team - instead of only singing when we're winning.
    What a difference!

The crowd is the 12th man. FACT
  • The round of applause was quite moving when the covered end sang "stand up if you love Charlton"

What did it for me is how people were singing Chrissy powells red army, they scored and they just kept going. Loved that.

14 minutes into the game was the first break in Chrissy Powell's Red n White Army.

Well done those in the North Upper who sung themselves horse tonight and stood up to be counted. You showed your true colours.

THAT is what being a supporter is all about.
  • Support was immense tonight - CP must be in no doubt about the fans' backing.

The 12 straight minutes of us singing after their first goal was pretty special. There was a vibe deep in all the Charlton people, the good good people there, that we, and us and Chris Powell together, were simply not going to go down with a wimper. The players caught the vibe, Cardiff got the whiplash from the vibe, and the joy and pride within the support could've almost been eaten with a spoon.
Why does it crush you one minute, and lift you so high the next, bloody football!
  • Unreal, my throat is inbits, Chrissy Powells red and white army for 15 minutes was quality, great from the fans tonight

  • Proud of EVERYONE there tonight...players , management AND US ! We're all in this together and we showed that we acknowledged it tonight.

Few shouts of " Powell- sort it out !" etc after the Taffs scored their second so I gave them "the look" and told them to support their team ...which , bearing in mind we then scored our first 2, they did.

Superb support. Crowd carried the team to victory.
  • Yes, fantastic support and a message for all who wanted to hear it. The roar in the second-half in the East as we went for it reminded me again that sometimes it's the team that should create the atmosphere not the other way around.

Ditto - thought the North Upper noise was top class, and the little "crazy gang" at the front of the North Lower got things going there too.

Well done, i'm sure it made a difference.

No doubt at all that the noise did it for the team tonight. The Boro game was the complete opposite and look what happened there. We are one unit and if we do our bit then the players will respond QED.
  • Very proud of every fan in the ground tonight......the support was amazing! Definitely gave the players an extra gear

We (the supporters) were excellent tonight. That result was for us. Good support for Chris Powell, hopefully any management who make decisions at the club know how much we love him
  • Just shows it does not take a full ground to get the atmosphere going. Tonight was hardcore.

It's not only about how much we love him but, honestly, there's not a better man for the job. That's what they need to get.

Can we play all our games on Tuesday night in front of 14500 Chalton fans, much better than Saturdays with 24000.

I saw a guy I haven't seen since we used to sit a couple seats up from each other in the old covered at half time. We both commented on how it was exactly like those days tonight. QUALITY
  • The North Upper were immense tonight, well done. I'm sure I saw some people in the Directors box joining in the clapping as well :-)

Fans were unbelievable!! Constant singing at 2-0 down! Oh and someone tell @BenHamer21 we won and to enjoy the winning feeling!!! #cheerup
  • Great support. Going 1 down probably helped it in all honesty. Long may it continue, regardless of the score.
