New CAFC senior management structure
This will replace the existing SMT, seemingly downgrading the current senior roles of Dave Archer, Paul Ellison and Matt Wright, and putting Mick Everett's future at the club in apparent doubt. No consultation has taken place with affected staff at The Valley as far as I am aware and it is not clear whether current staff will be given the opportunity to apply for the operating and marketing roles, as appears to be required by law.

who is putting up the money for all this ?0

Well there is certainly one person on here who could confirm and/or deny ME's position. Feel sorry for MW if true as well as on the face of it, him and his team have single-handedly maintained absolutely excellent communication levels with the fans across the web/social media etc.
Here we go again people...0 -

I'm sure CP did mention post-Cardiff that things have been tough on-and-off-the-field this season. First public mention I think.0

Worrying like Airman I also hear a bit of what is going on behind the scenes at the club through a contact and I have to say things are not all ginger peachy lets see what happens in the next few weeks.0

ginger peachy ! .. what a lovely expression0

I'm not a lawyer so could be missing something.
However my understanding is that technically it is the JOB rather than the individual which is made redundant. At first sight they just seem to be ascribing a different title to Mick Everett's job.
If they were to remove him under that circumstance then legally I think they could be on a sticky wicket as the job hasn't really gone at all.0 -
Glad you like it Lincs0

rename it, change the job spec slightly, they will get round it. Hope Mick stays. Chris Parkes must be crapping himself ;-)LenGlover said:I'm not a lawyer so could be missing something.

I think I'll see what comes of this one before passing judgement.
Maybe I've missed something but getting people on board is a good thing right? Signs of progress maybe?0 -
Will they pay the bus/train fare for the interviews?0

Something BIG is going on .. all these new(ish) executive positions, players recalled from loans .. and two probably quite expensive loanees coming in .. have we gained a fairy (or straight for that matter) god mother/father/sugar daddy ?0
-
whose been recalled from their loan, thought we had sent one more out, namely Sullivan.0
-
If we go and recruit some high quality senior management staff, it's hard to see that as bad news. I would assume the COO is more a replacement for Kavanagh/Varney than a threat to existing employees, Protheroe isn't a full time employee, so we need someone senior to run the club's day to day operations.0

^^^ can't be us .. says ESTABLISHED championship club (only jesting)0

The company is going through a restructuring process.
In my experience this usually means they are building on current successes and are planning further growth.
This is obviously not good news for the individuals Airman speaks of, but it does mean that something is going on behind the scenes that (hopefully) is likely to benefit the football club.
It will be interesting to see the next steps that TJ and co take.

Nathan was offered the job but then turned it down when he heard he had to work Saturdays.
He said going to Charlton had to come first.0
