    I thought it was good until the last episode when it became very formulaic and stupid

    Completely agree, Fanny. The book as with all of James Herbert's works was far darker and deeper. If any one has not read it you should!

    Thought Ghosts of Sleath was quite an old story of Herbets? Either way, thought it was a really good TV series - I heard rumours the Beeb have a deal with him now so hopefully more to come.

    Really enjoyed it BUT I do prefer ghost stories to be less explicit... more shadows, whispers and hints. For me the 'Woman in Black' is as good as it gets. Does anyone remember the 'West Country Tales' in the early '80's?
