There is nothing wrong with being gay but by singing the songs you are saying that being gay is a negative thing that they should be ashamed of (if gay) or deny (if straight) as it is less "manly" than being "straight".
20/30 years ago we had the same debate about racist singing. It was just "banter" and "no one was offended" than as well, or so some people said : - (

Totally agree with Huskaris... It's not insinuating that it's a bad thing and isn't being done for that reason. It's being sung as it's a stereotype that winds up Brighton fans and is in no way malicious.0

I don't think that singing homophobic chants at Brighton is that bad though. Reason being that the majority of them aren't, its just the reputation of the town. Having said that, I wouldn't sing because its boring as they get it all the tine.

I started this thread because I thought we had some togetherness, can we keep it bright and aimed lightheartedly at the opposition. No I dont think Brighton fans would be upset at being called gay...they just find it boring.0

So using your logic, singing racist songs at football fans from a town known for its high ratio of ethnic minoritys (Bradford/Leicester/Birmingham) is ok as the majority of them may not be black or asian.cafcfan1990 said:
