The worst paper in the world and the worst beer. Talk about cheapening the CAFC brand.

I have no idea about the offer but my guess would be that this is not only for Charlton.

Plus whatever you think of the companies sponsoring this offer if it means you can save £10.50 for two tickets then who gives a shit.

You only save £10.50 if you already buy the Sun! £19.50 for two is decent enough though.
    Apologies NZA.

Add 90p for buying The Sun.

    Only saving £9.60.

  • It's really pedantic to point out that you need three copies, so you'll only save £7.80, isn't it? Sorry.

(I didn't actually know how much the Sun cost)

Seems reasonable enough as long as we are going to put out a decent side.

Wigan v Bournemouth is £10 so must have been possible to do it for a tenner if both clubs agreed.

FA Cup rules: now £10 minimum, but the away club has no say.

I'd rather pay full price than buy 3 copies of that rag (although my neighbour buys it, so might just nick her coupons).............

Don't buy the Sun. Besides it being a rag I would never buy it out of respect for Justice for the 96

redman - I agree. I shall avoid buying the paper by ripping the voucher out of my local cafe's copy, thereby still securing my discount. Yesssssssss!
  • I would like to think that the 5000 or so that went to Fulham for £15 quid last year will go to this game, but that is only what I'd like to think......

A somewhat different situation, an attractive away fixture (with nothing to lose) at a PL ground vs a home fixture against one of our regular opponents. Indeed, I suspect many of the regular Fulham supporters stayed away last season, and the ground was mainly filled with casual fans.
  • Huddersfield should pay us £15 each to watch the poor attempt of football they play year in, year out!

Think it should have been a tenner, but then again i'll still be at the game even for fifteen.

I'll be there as it's a Charlton match and I like the FA Cup. But I wonder even if you sold the tickets for £1 each whether you'd get a full house? Most people just can't be bothered with the FA Cup anymore...and it's not just Charlton, it's almost every other club in the country. There are very few exceptions (Tottenham, Liverpool and maybe Arsenal spring to mind).

From what has been said the FA have set a minimum of £15, is this not price fixing particularly as the FA are effectively a monopoly?

Are clubs allowed to discount to season ticket holders, after all I think some clubs include some cup games in there season ticket price, how does that work?

    Anybody know?

I believe parts of the ground will be closed for this match so perhaps a situation such as that is beyond the website.

Just speculation on my part not a statement of fact.

That shouldn't be a problem. You can pick and choose stands and blocks to make available for sale.
