Planned Power Cuts

Hi All,

Need some help / advise please;

UK Power Networks have sent me an advance warning of a planned power outage next Tuesday from 08:00 - 12:00pm. My Shop will be affected by this, as I will be unable to trade for the morning during what is one of the busiest weeks of the year...UK Power are refusing to reschedule works to make them outside of trading hours. Is there anything I can do?

    No, fork handles.
  • Contact LBC radio if you are in their area. They are pretty good at highlighting wankerishness such as the above.

    Hire a generator then bill them later.

    They have a policy of cancelling planned outages if the external temperature is below freezing. So keep your fingers crossed!

    Hire a Generator. We use them for power cuts to our equipment up the mountains and are simple and straight forward.
  • Thanks Chaps

    On the topic, it seemed like 10-20 shops near Maze Hill were shut down last night for the same reason.
