Same old stuff with serious spelling mistakes but some nice comments from the reporter about CP.

I'm not going to open it yet but I guess it mentions that he is a black manager three times...0

Good article and i really don't get why it is a big deal them asking him about very important issues in our game like Racism as he is an important figure, one of only 3 black managers in the league, former chairman of the PFA and an england international.
It seems only right that they ask him about issues like that after they have discussed Charlton, as he is a very well respected man, especially when in society and football it seems to be creeping back with some fans that it is ok to be racist or have a hatred towards people who are different.

fairly typical journalism of today - not sure of your alleged spelling mistakesValleyGary said:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/charlton-athletic/9745082/Chartlon-manager-Chris-Powells-steady-hand-steering-Charlton-on-the-right-course-to-a-happy-Valley.html

They spelt Charlton 'Chartlon' in the headline. Its been changed now.0

In light of Danny Haynes comments after the Millwall game and Charlton's response to the same, I thought the journalist was correct to ask CP about the matter. Indeed the fact that he asked the question showed he had done a bit of research and was not just asking the usual questions.0 -
The bit about the bloke from the Society of Black Lawyers made me laugh though,0
-
Why don't they refer to him as Sir Chris....?
Seriously, I thought it was a balanced and reasoned article.

It's shame he can't just be interviewed about our performances on the pitch, youth team, transfer policy etc but then if he wasn't black, he probably wouldn't be interviewed as much...0

Decent interview but the journo really needs to have a scan through his work after.
On the issue of black managers, isn't CP technically the only black manager in the league? It's probably my ignorance but aren't Curle and Hughton of mixed race therefore not technically black? I know it doesn't matter and I'm not trying to start a whole race debate again, just curious really.0 -
Yes, it's short for Charting the London prospects...Wheresmeticket? said:

Are Houghton & Curle Black or mixed race?GretnaGreenAddick said:Good article and i really don't get why it is a big deal them asking him about very important issues in our game like Racism as he is an important figure, one of only 3 black managers in the league
In my eyes, that makes Powell the only black manager and for this, the league should reward us an extra 10 points.............. :-D0
