Hamer gets ball, ball long, but morrow to wilson, yann on right, bogdan takes ball and we have to retreat
  • i listened to charlton player for first time this season .... sounded so dull ... non league atmosphere there
  • Charlton score...possibly over the line....but not given

Bogdan clears long, davies, but Solly wins us a throw, final minute now, we attack but lose out, eagles now, and andrews, spearing, keep ball, frustrates us, but petrov and a shot well saved by hamer...who might objectively be our MoM
    4 extra minutes.

    eh. right back to ya.
I was hoping against hope that I had misinterpreted your post!
I have no idea what your interpretation is. The forum owners do not like swearing on threads so I use alternatives. That's all.

Deep throw for Bolton and they take time now, davies loses it, but Morrow has it, now petrov offside.

Lots of 2-2 last week in the championship and this week its 2-0. Unfortunately we are on the wrong side of the score.

A bad day for us addicks but on't anyone start slagging off Chrissie Powell FFS. He really does know a lot more about his players and tactics than we do.

We had a great unbeaten run and we will come again. Top half of table still realistic with the current aquad, could maybe press for a play off spot if we are able to strengthen with a couple of quality signings in January.
  • Will beat wednesday to give them there 9th defeat in a row! CAFC

Didn't deserve anything from that today. It's all about the performance and it didn't sound good. Will be interesting to hear the views of those who went.

Long shot from davednko, our GK 2 mins left, davies to n'gog, bolton build, and bogdan clears long, dervite had it, we try an effort comfortable for bogdan, languid clearence, davies fouls dervite, hamer to morrow, long, and solly 'who has worked tirelessly' we press in last min 2-0 down, stevo and we have a throw, seabourne, and stephens, but cleared but stevo kickds high over, time appears to be up...yes we lost 2-0.

All because powell wouldn't make a substitution back to 15th now

I think the players on the pitch might have had something to do with the result..
Yes but Boltan made a substitution and now have won. Possibley if Powell made a substitution earlier it might have made an impact on the game.

Apart from the timing of the substitutions, and the quality of Ngog from the subs bench, what do we know about the game if we are not there ? Will read the match report and of those there. Will reserve judgement and not make too many comments at this stage.

    Yes, cheers Seth and RM
  • Sounded like a very poor performance today. Hopefully just a blip. Our midfield is still in need of some serious improvement though. We sound very laboured.

I'm sure you're right but you can't lay all the blame at Powell's feet. If we took our chances today or created more then it would be a different story. It's always down to the players to get the result before the management
  • Cheers Seth, RM and others for updates.

As worse as people moaning after one loss is people moaning that there might be people moaning later

This is absolutely not a wrist slitting result, but hopefully a match with enough in it for Chris and his team to learn from and continue the development of this season, on the richter scale of Charlton disasters it's about a 2.1

Fair Point I do agree. Just thought that was Powells job, if he sees we are struggling he has a choice to make some sort of change.
