London Football Team of The Year - According to The Evening Standard
"Okay, so Chelsea became the first London team to win the European Cup or the Champions League, but their off-field antics this year have been a real turn-off. Chris Powell led Charlton back to the Championship as champions after a tough first season in charge, earning my vote for team of the year."
(I bet you weren't expecting that).

Nice an all that, but a London club won the FA Cup and the Champions League.........0 -
I'm surprised that they know who we are but choosing Charlton avoids streams of complaints from all the Arsenal/Spurs/Chelsea/West Ham fans that the sub-standard is pro-(insert name of "big london club"0

Who cares where their loyalties sit? A major media publication has just deemed us the 2012 Football team of the year for London - which is brilliant recognition, regardless of your opinion of the paper itself.0
-
It's just one columnist, not the whole paper.0

Yep that's what I thought - still great though, and bloody well deserved !0

GH obviously does since he mentions it every time the standard is mentioned on here.cafctom said:Who cares where their loyalties sit? Had a couple of Arsenal mates text me about this when they saw it in the paper tonight. Really is great that this is out there.0

Good to see a journalist putting some serious thought in to his selection rather then just looking at who won the biggest prize.0
