maybe in the spirit of the "Covered End" thread, the covered end could wait until kick off then rush to "take" the Jimmy Seed? A few of the older posters could get their DM's out of storage for the day...

Great idea but I think most of us couldn't rush anywhere nowadays.

People are making out we'll be losing a Fenerbache-esque atmosphere. Apart from the odd occasion, the valley is a pretty quiet place (cue onslaught)

This is due to the fact that all the stewards that work up there are employees of London underground and will be too busy manning the picket lines.........................

Thought it was Belmarsh ..............oh no thats the mob in yellow jackets rather than the stewards who politely point the way to the seats

Like previous times when they've done this, the atmosphere will be non-existant, and for that reason, I'm out.

It might look good on TV to have a few bodies in the North Lower but it's just so false. You may as well put a load of dummies on those seats if you want to make it 'look good' ffs.

It will be like watching a reserve fixture. FACT.

Remember when Chelsea (I think it was) redeveloped a stand behind their goal? They erected a mural of a crowd to make it look full. Then they got complaints for not having any black faces. Racist, Chelsea..never!!!!

Might've been Arsenal actually. I prefer to slate Chelsea though.

was Arsenal but a Chelsea fan designed it....probably.
  • It was Arsenal when they redeveloped the North Bank. I'm sure the mural makes more noise than their supporters now :-)

The old covered end was much louder. I suspect that the angle of the roof contributed to that!
