Paul Benson to Portsmouth

Makes you realise that one place above relegation from the Championship would be a result this season.Clem_Snide said:
Was thinking exactly the same.Valley11 said:Thank god we aren't in that league anymore. Walsall on a cold Friday night in front of 3,000 fans. Urgh.

Got a lot of respect for Pompey fans cracking chant to Walsall who have jsut scored.
WE LOSE EVERY WEEK, WE LOSE EVERY WEEK, YOUR NOTHING SPECIAL, WE LOSE EVERY WEEK.0 -
Yep fair play, looked like a couple hundred made the trip which is fantastic.
They do look terrible though don't they0 -
The nutter with his bell doesn't seem to be there. Very surprised I thought he went to every game.0

how's Benno doing.........0

Probably had to pawn the Bell?Clem_Snide said:The nutter with his bell doesn't seem to be there. Very surprised I thought he went to every game.

Good luck to them, seriously know who they're real fans are.

Missed an easy chance in the first half and has barely had a touch since.0

Looks lightweight and easy to knock off the ball
Poor first touch and slow
Tbh0 -
He had a good chance in the first half but volleyed a one on one over when he had time to take a touch.
Turned over at HT though as the game was not only dire but over as a result of Walsall being 2-0 up and Pompey.
Before the game the commentator said 5 years ago this weekend Pompey were preparing for the 3rd round of their ultimately succesful FA Cup run. Now their staring relegation to the bottom tier and possible oblivion in the face.0 -

I thought maybe he'd scored a hat trick, seeing as he is sooooo good !!

I wouldn't call it an easy chance - waist high volley from side on! He's not had a sniff though otherwise, Pompey look so poor. They also have darel Russell who's being overrun.0

He is there. Minus the bell.razil said:

Is there a reason that guy seems so disliked by many?
Just curious as always seems like a good fan just a bit unusual(in a good way) which is a shame to be a reason to not like him.

We have some moronic fans as do other clubs. He was a good player but just never got the chance.0

Not sure. It would probably wind me up if someone literally changed their name to Mr Charlton Athletic as though they were the only supporter that mattered.GretnaGreenAddick said:Is there a reason that guy seems so disliked by many?

John Westwood - Legend.
Good on him - wembley stadium or walsall on a grey friday in january, it's all the same to him.
(Not an oblique dig at our away support btw)0 -
Met him a couple of times, seems like a decent bloke
