    I thought one of the reasons cited for his move back north was Mrs Mendonca who didn't like London.

    Before they moved I lived down the road from Superclive and would meet him and Mrs Super regularly on the school run. It won't come as a surprise to anyone that he is a top bloke but her !!

    Quite honestly if I'd been married to her I would have shipped back oop norf ASAP and bought a nice little pub down here too.

    It's a bit ra ra round there so I'd be surprised if super clive was the landlord but if he is I might have to have a beer there when I'm back in the UK.

    Not being funny but that wikipedia site says he was born in Islington? I was sure he was a mackem born and bred?

    No - he was definitely born in Islington - I believe he lived there until he was about two before moving up to Mackemland.

    As for the pub bit, I know he went into that after he retired, so it may well b possible, but I also thought he went back oop Narf - partly cos of his missus, who couldn't stand it down here, but also because he apparently loves Sunderland and couldn't bear to be away from the place - so that might be an example of Wikibullshit
