    Stayed in Clitheroe for a long weekend the last time I went up to Blackburn, we had a blinding weekend and a fantastic pub crawl around the neighbouring villages, lovely countryside up there too.

    Tickets for the trip to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, January 19th (3pm) are on general sale, and can be purchased online.

    Charlton have an initial 1,058 places in the lower tier of the Darwen End Stand, priced £20 adults, £12 over 65s and £5 U16s.

    There are eight wheelchair bays and these spaces and ambulant disabled places are sold as per the categories above (including a free helper).

    Tickets will be posted out until the end of Wednesday, January 16th, and will be available in person from the commercial centre until 3pm the following day. Rovers will sell on the day at the same prices.

    182 tickets had been sold by 5pm of Friday, January 10th.

    A full list of Valley Away pick-up points and times can be found here. The fare is £22.

    £20 is VERY reasonable as is £12 for us old(er) folk

    £25 for me and my partner's boy against £50 for us at Palace.

    And we get to sit in a decent stand.

    As far as the pitch is concerned there is undersoil heating at Ewood Park. But it doesn't look like there will be heavy snow there though.

    Fernhurst is open next Saturday for families and diners only I have been told by email. Doormen will enforce this policy.

    Shameful turnout - Palace took 11k to an equivalent fixture. Hopefully Ooh Aah has some more fascinating stats on the subject.

    Apparently we've got the worst away support in the entire universe.

    millwall had 900+ at blackburn end of November and they took 1,162 to Bolton on saturday .... new ground syndrome

    Yeah to be fair we've played them two dull north west sides so many times in the last ten years, Millwall not been to either for Donkeys. Next season they'll be lucky to reach 300 at either of them.

    Not sure if this is good or bad? Game in the capital for long weekend to take in the sights,post xmas sales & a show. What's Blackburn got offer apart from Chicken pies? :o)

    I always think it's a bit misleading, as a fair number of the away supporters will probably be living in London anyway, whether working or studying, I'm sure there are more Hull/Carlisle/Burnley supporters living in London, than Charlton fans living up there.

    Very good point which confirms that there are ''Lies, damned lies, and statistics"; a phrase describing the persuasive power of numbers, particularly the use of statistics to bolster weak arguments :-o
