Confuesed on Scott Carson

Reading on Sky Sports text last night - It said England U21 keepper was talked up for getting in the Senior England team by Luke Young who said at 27 he got a great chance of taking over from Robinson. Carson was quoted as saying "At 27 I am not getting any younger and want to get in the senior team"

He must be the oldest U21 player in history then.

    Arfur - I thought exactly the same when I read it!! Sky have mixed up Luke Young talking about Scott Carson and Luke Young talking about himself. His comments re: being 27 and needing to get back in the England team soon were about himself, not about Scotty.

    even if he was 27, didn't the U21s used to field over-age players so there probably have been older ... anyone remember?
