As a Cornwall dweller, I'm sorry to say I've missed this thread until now.

But I have been Mullion over it.

And there really is a place in Cornwall near me, called Minions.
    And Wiggle Beach.

Truly St Awful places, if that's not below Par.

Where do I fit? My Grandfather was half (Black) Jamaican half Irish born in Wales. The rest is English with a bit of Scottish.

Stop that, stop that! That's bang out of order, BDF. Don't you know Devon puns are not permitted, as Devon Dumplings are not yet categorised as:
    WHITE - Devonish

Anyway Devon is merely some administrative area of the United Kingdom and has no national identity of its own.

Step forward the Republic of Cornwall, with it's own national flag, Cornish language (more than slightly comatose),
patron Saint (St Piran) and present day capital city of Truro !!!

And except for a negligible couple of miles of geographic accident where Cornwall is unfortunately joined to England,
    Cornwall is an island.

Manky old Janners from Plymerf (nearest English city) are always threatening to blow up the Royal Albert bridge at Saltash - which would result in the Republic of Cornwall floating off into the mid Atlantic Ocean.

Which actually might be a good idea for all concerned. ;o)

PS: Did you know that Charlton used to have a famous Cornish forward?
Signed for Charlton 3 times, became an Italy international only because he gave up waiting for Cornwall to qualify for the World Cup - step forward goalscoring legend.............Eddie Trelawney !
