You just seemed a little upset by it that's all.maestro said:
It doesnt. I was just replying to your post.Brendan_O_Connell said:
ok, I'll tell him. Why does this bother you so much anyway?maestro said:
Well I think we've established that this Sargent is a liar then.Brendan_O_Connell said:
Maestro, I know nothing about how the police operate at football matches and what the situation is with regard to police escorts etc. I'm only going on what I have been told by a Sergeant at Bromley Police Station (who happens to be a friend that I trust).maestro said:Brendan_O_Connell said:
Which they pay the police for themselves. (I kid you not).buckshee said:
They'll be too busy getting an escort to their own ground.Croydon said:http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=129335 the jokers seem to think that the pubs are shut on saturday because they are such a high risk bunch of supporters...
I think you'll find that we all pay for the police outside stadiums as tax payers.
If you're suggesting anything else then you're a fool, and who ever told you differently is a bigger fool.
He knows very little about football(in fact he says he's a Liverpool fan despite being from Sidcup and never even been to Liverpool in his life), apart from the work he and his colleagues do at various football matches.
The conversation came up at the weekend when he asked me what I was doing this weekend. I told him I was going to Surrey (joke) to watch Palace v Charlton when he told me about the situation with this so called group (which is a apparently a legitimate company) paying for this 'special' escort.
Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just going on what he has told me. He would have no reason to make it up as I doubt he gives two hoots about Palace or Charlton.
You can tell him that.
I honestly couldn't care what Charlton fans thought of Palace fans. Why would I?0 -
Thank you se9addick. They are likely to do it to piss us off. Also maestro I know why your in here so much. You dont get much of a conversation out of those ultras as they are still going through puberty the little pricks.0

The victory club is 227 selhurst rd, between norwood junction and stadium I think. Reckon it is palace friendly though so may not welcome away fans. Cheap and decent beer if you get in though I think.0

The Victory Club in Selhurst, not very appropriately named!Athletico Charlton said:The victory club is 227 selhurst rd, between norwood junction and stadium I think. Reckon it is palace friendly though so may not welcome away fans. Cheap and decent beer if you get in though I think.
