It was always in the pipeline to be fair.
  • Makes me pleased I gave this a miss today.

Me too....but have to face the palace supporters at some time, so will be in Golden Lion at midday if anyone is in SE26 (could do with some moral support........).

Update on this: if the other Charlton fan who was nicked with me reads this can you pm me as I'm making a complaint for excessive force and wrongful arrest. Have taken photos of wrists ...and currently at darenth valley hospital as wrists in a lot of pain ...cut, bruised and swollen.

The other guy didnt do it either we were both pissing and it was the person who had just walked out who kicked the pipe. The old bill nicked us both cos we were the ones in there and they said they hadnt seen anyone else walk out.

I dunno if he was cuffed, I was behind my back and chucked in the cell in the back of the van. They refused to loosen the cuffs despite the pain, they didnt search me, charge me or take a statement. It was a right proper mess, they removed 4 coppers from a catagory A game to take 2 CAFC fans to Croydon nick on a hunch that one of us might have kicked a pipe. Use of force was totally excessive and unnecessary - most of the coppers were ok, the worst one just wanted a result. Numbers game, trying to justify their presence and costs.

The only decent thing they did was take me back to shithurst afterwards

The bloke who tried to blame me was having an independent piss as well.

Not sure you'll get far with wrongful arrest, they had probable cause given that you were at the scene at the time. Its not like you were somewhere completely different and if you refused to give a statement about who did do it then that would be enough.

As for force, well you are a football fan...

The bastards police will try to drag it out as long as possible, then after two years you cant do anything.
