    he looked quick and put himself about, his perserverance to beat two men in the air for a knock down led to zheng's equaliser if i remember rightly. though with both toddy and iwelumo off, he looked isolated, though that was more for the inability of ambrose and zheng to push on through the middle than it was a gap in his own link up play.

    in my opinion, varney would look shit hot up front with someone to win his battles for him like big chris.

    He looked ok. Got caught offside a couple of times. To be fair just he came on, then Tody got injured and Sam came on. We scored from Varneys lay off to ZZ and then instead of taking the game by the scruff of the neck, Fortune got injured and we were all over the shop with ZZ back to help out the defence. I felt that we completely lost momentum at that point and were unable to make our man advantage count.

    He's certainly a pretty boy but to answer Ledge's question in the way he perhaps intended - though I've always thought Ledge was a little too interested in musicals - he didn't see too much of the ball but was busy and his hassling caused the ball to break to ZZ for the 2nd goal.

    With the injuries and substitutions he played up front with ZZ and then an injured Fortune so not really helped by that and the team being generally disjointed at the end of the game with all the changes.

    Would be a good partner for Big Chris and with McLeod we'd have lot of pace.
