No offence to those posting them, but gonna start having a bit of a tighter grip on closing / sinking what subjects we get debated on here.

A lot of shite in the world, for the first few years we kept them off here as we wanted the forum to be a bit detached from things that fall in the 'not nice' category and it worked pretty well. Gradually over time its got a bit more 'newsy' on what dominates the forum, and i'm not convinced it has benefited it.

Always a difficult judgement. Pistorius for example is probably acceptable as a thread, this one perhaps not. Can't acceptably explain the difference between the two if i'm honest, just a gut feeling.

Hope you understand where i'm coming from, and ask people to respect the editorial attempt.

    cheers

Pistorius just turned into a joke thread. Just dont get that at all.

bit like the horsemeat one. there's not really any discussion on that at all either and that whole story is shocking.

This will also turn into a lame jokes thread as well.

So you probably dont have to worry AFKA.

This might be a good news story - if he's guilty then surely it's good that he's been charged.

Of course if he's innocent then it's bad news all round.

Actually the child killer, being killed is kinda a happy story, but I was thinking more like 'man saves drowning puppy'.

Careful. Some of us are old enough to remember that Peter Adamson was found innocent.
  • Not guilty on all charges.

How on earth did that get to court?

Worrying for blokes across the country that the CPS can prosecute seemingly without any evidence and it's just one persons word against another.
