    he does need to sort that side of his game out but overall he's been terrific this season.

    He is young for a keeper. Oh and Butland apparently made a howler yesterday too.

    Admittedly I dont get to too many games but last year I did have the opportunity to compare Hamer and Sullivan in one game, and that was enough for me.

    I predict Hamer will play in the FAPL.

    How many times have you seen Button play then & at what level was he playing ?

    seems bizarre that we spend almost all of our summer budget on a keeper and don't give him a chance all season even though are keeper has been pretty crap in the last month

    This is a joke surely? Hamer has kept the goal difference down by loads! He's an excellent player and is up there for POTY for me. Some people are idiots. Their own opinion or not.

    The way they have a go at the outfield players every time they actually have to stop the ball leads me to believe they'd disagree with you! :-)

    Then why change? Hamer makes saves, cos its his job. Button will also make saves, cos that's job. No-one has seen enough of Button to say conclusively that he will be in any way superior to Hamer, whereas some of the saves we have seen Ben make have been truly outstanding, three or four against Palace alone.

    I've never rated him but the fact is he is totally out of form and if Yann kept missing sitters or if morro kept giving away howlers they would be dropped so why not the keeper

    Last season was different but we have someone highly rated on the bench now and I think it's worth a go

    Agree, one of the players of the season. Not many young English keepers play first team champ football so young. He's a talent.

    I think the answer to this questions is: play pretty poorly for about three games in a row.

    In fact, isn't that pretty much the answer every time this question is raised about a goalkeeper?
