Justin Bieber fans send Twitter death threats to teenage girl

'A British teenager has received death threats from Justin Bieber fans on Twitter after the singer retweeted one of her messages.
Courtney Barrasford, a 15-year-old from Hampshire, posted a message on Twitter saying that she liked Justin Bieber's new album even though she is "not really a fan".
She wrote: "Not really a fan of Justin Bieber but his acoustic album is really good!"
Bieber retweeted the message to his 34 million Twitter followers and many of them responded with jealous outrage.
Courtney was soon receiving messages calling her a "whore" and saying "go kill yourself".
One fan of the 19-year-old pop star wrote: "I am a Belieber of him since 2009 and he didn’t notice me. And you’re not even a ------- fan. You get noticed. OMG."
Another wrote to Bieber: "U notice her n she’s not even a fan. I am but you won’t notice me

Courtney said: "I came back from a drama class where everyone had been going on about how good Justin Bieber’s acoustic album was. So I went on to YouTube to listen to it and then put my comment up.
"About ten minutes later my friend sent me a message to say she had noticed something on Twitter. It wasn’t too bad at first. But then it started to get worse as more people found out."'
..really?

The Bieber thing really is cult like. Pretty much every day his name or some derivative is trending; many people really do look upon him as some sort of deity. Any word against him or shot down as though illegal, while he himself is fauned over by both females and males alike. Just what the ****?0

I think it would be relevant to post this here,
Had me laughing for a good 20 minutes.

It's strange what gets retweeted. I was at Heathrow a couple of weeks ago picking up #1 stepson and T3 had been taken over by 1000's of screaming teenage girls waiting for the Janoskians. So I tweeted a picture of the crowd and said 'who are the Janoskians, never heard of them' and over the next couple of days my picture has been favourited, re-tweeted, I get replies and people following me...I've never been so popular. No death threats though...0

If someone gets death threats for saying his album is really good imagine what would happen if they said it was a pile of shit?0
-
worth someone testing that out along the lines of "Never been a fan of that talentless mop haired twat Justin Belieber and having just heard his acoustic album, I can confirm it is indeed a pile of shit".Rizzo said:If someone gets death threats for saying his album is really good imagine what would happen if they said it was a pile of shit?

It's all weird. Boy George made a dig about one direction I think and the homophobic aggressive abuse he got was pretty shocking coming out of little girls mouths.
Weirdos.
Who are the Janitors then?0 -

Yeah, I think I wasted a whole evening on there, there is some fluff on there but some of it is the funniest stuff I've ever seen through the medium of writing. lol0 -

I found Party in Apartment 3 was brilliant too. As well as 10 formal complaints.0 -
Bieber fever and one direction fandom is absolutely bizarre. It's even stranger since I know in the next 10-15 years bieber is going to have a breakdown of some kind.
I also think it's disgusting how through these groups/pop stars they're selling sex to prepubescent girls. Watch the (hilarious) episode of south park on the jonas brothers, it communicates my feelings pretty well.0 -

The saddest part of this is that a paper like The telegraph felt it had to `sex up' the story, specifically the headline....I mean can someone tell me where the `death threat' is exactly?0
-
That site is legendary. As funny as tvgohome from back in the day. The one where he tries to pay a bill with a drawing of a spider had me weeping with laughter0

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with Bieber. He's a young singer, there's hundreds of them out there. What is it about HIM?!
As for Twitter - I tweeted on Friday night about how I thought Dean Saunders looked like a ringer for Bruce Springsteen after the Wolves game. Within minutes I had two Bruce Springsteen die hards following me, some radio station telling me that they were playing a song of his, and also the official Bon Jovi twitter feed (some sort of New Jersey connection?). Weird!0 -
