Excellent battling performance. I thought Harriot did well on Saturday but was critical of his decision making. Today he was brilliant and my motm. Hamer pulled off slme great saves ans kept us in the game. All round good performance by the team. As an aside. Really like the Amex stadium with the exception that access to vehicles is awful and I'm in the club coach

Everyone needs to see Hamers save at the end. Absolute class. I can't work out how he got to it. As he'd say, worldie. Performance deserved a point. And could have nicked it too! Very proud performance tonight by our boys.

What are you doing in the club coach? Have you been appointed in a Shebby Singh role?

Some Brighton views before the game on their starting XI:

"What a mouth-watering team that is! Great stuff."
"Charlton fans - dont want to jinx it but the starting 11 you are facing tonight is FAR better than in the 2-2 earlier this season."
"With that side I'm happy to stick with my 3-1 prediction"
"Wow at how attacking that team is."
"Sweet baby Jesus that looks good."
    "Dream Team!"
"Very attacking! With Bruno it would be pretty much first choice squad"

It's a good clean sheet, make no mistake about it. Perhaps the best of the season.

    Excellent sleuth-work Callum.

On the way back. Great performance from the boys and what a save from Hamer at the end.

Special mentions to Hughes and Dervite.

More tactical ineptitude from the clueless clown :-)

    Spot on : - )

The gap in ability, movement, wages and fees between us and a play-off side was clear but we bridged it with fight, commitment and organisation.

When we did get in the final third we looked dangerous ans we could have nicked it but I'm happy with a point and a gutsy display.

On way back now. So proud of the boys tonight each of them put in such effort. You can really see the bond between them, scp and the fans.

Up to 14th, on 51 points - now above Millwall & Blackpool

No change to positions of teams that were below us, except Posh got a point (46 points).
And Huddersfied's GD has worsened -26.

I read this on the BHA message forum ...

"Re: Brighton and Hove Albion vs Charlton Athletic ****Official Match Thread****
Textbook defensive display by Charlton. Strikers still running down our defenders at the end of the game. Not often I leave a 0-0 draw impressed but I enjoyed watching them."

I thought Hudds dropped a place?
  • Job done well done boys in red sleep well! 4pts from Bolton at home after being 2 down, and Brighton away. Impressive!

I thought Hudds dropped a place?

Only if you believed the 'as it stands' BBC Champs table while the games were still playing.

All the while Hudds were drawing 0-0, the 'make believe' table showed them on 48 points, and Sheff Weds on 47 dropping into the 3rd relegation spot.

Hudds 'dropped' back to the 3rd relegation position, as soon as Bolton scored against them.

Of course, none of it is real until the final whistle is blown.

  • On the train back to London freezing cold but it was worth it. Superb point. Hamer Jacko Hughes and the rest take a bow! COYR!
