Re dropping Hamer.

Did it give him the kick up the arse he needed?

Did it show him he wasnt untouchable in the starting XI?

It could have gone either way really but we'll let Sir Chris have this one after Hamers woorldy performance tonight!! :-)

  • Perhaps. He needed a kick up the arse. It focuses the mind.

I like Hamer... hope he's able to go from strength to strength with the manager's backing.

Wouldn't say it was a touch of magic, as we all know Hamer is quality and has saved us on more than one occasion.

Powell wasn't wrong to drop him though, as he needs to set an example to the squad.

No problem with Hamer before he got dropped. Massive problem with Button when on the pitch.

That's a little harsh on Button I feel.
  • Ben Hamer looked like he was 'ready to rumble' tonight.

Think hamer living with hughes has really rubbed off on him. Teaching a great attitude and positivity etc, plus both being absolute legends!
  • Certainly didn't put a foot wrong tonight !

Presumably if he makes any more mistakes, Hughes will do it again.

Well done to him, he won us a point on Tuesday hope he finishes the season well.

I think the article is a bit of a dig at our home support, and maybe he has a point?

Well he and a number of players have referred to the crowd in the same way a number of times, doesn't seem to sink in with the majority though.

To be fair Brighton have been treated to some good home displays this season and are chasing a play-off spot.

Its give and take between players and fans.

Was a great roar at Brighton I thought when they contested decisions etc. They've got the acoustics spot on.

“The effort we put in after going 2-0 down on Saturday was immense and our fans are going to play a big part in that on Saturday.

We really want them to get behind us, cheer us on and be our twelfth man because that helps."

    Well said, Ben.

The proof of what a crowd can do is the Cardiff home game. The team looked beaten but the fans were not, all that cheering and chanting and support and we gave one of the best teams in the league a thorough hiding.
