Was Oldham this time last year, also a very enjoyable one though obviously not on the same level.

How time flies, remember the experience vividly, the journey with views of the Lake District, the pre match sausage chips and beers in the Rugby club, the joy and hope that this could be our day as news of the Sheffield team(s) less than positive results filtered through, then we scored and nervously counted the clock down. Such jubilation as we crowded into the corner to acclaim our heroes and refused to leave quietly until they came out to celebrate with us and the many who had broken through the steward / police line onto the pitch. Great achievement, day and memories, up there with the play off final to cherish forever.

Yeah, going to Charlton with my dad as a kid after a couple of drinks he'd often go on about promotion up there twice, all the silly stuff that happened, how it won't happen again, etc etc. Last year was particularly special.

Oldham was a war of attrition seemed like us against the rest of the world. Reduced to 9 men no thanks to our mate from last week Mr Kettle and the character of the team, which is still there in large portions as evidenced over Easter, came through in abundance to take the three points from hell (apols to any Oldham based addicks) and back courtesy of a SuperYann far post header.
