Of course, he's still our player.0

I'm just happy he's getting a game0
-
Good luck to him - I hope he gets a decent contract off the back of these games he's getting at Brentford.0

100% agree.BlackForestReds said:Good luck to him - I hope he gets a decent contract off the back of these games he's getting at Brentford.

If Brentford sign for next season there is a good chance he will play against us (and score a hat trick).0
-
Without his goals last season we wouldn't be where we are now and for that I have a lot of respect for the bloke and hope he does well wherever he goes0
-
What's his record since going out on loan? This is the first time I've heard of him scoring but I've not been keeping track.0
-
I think he's still better than Shaun.0

First 20 goals a season striker for yonks ...... Probably since Super Clive which normally equates to promotion and did. Served us well didn't work out for him this season but will always be a favourite of mine.0

I like BWP and I think it's fair to say that without his efforts we would not be in the Championship this season, but sadly the step up seems just a level too high for him. I'd much rather have the good memories of his getting the goals and glory of being a top rate L1 striker than seeing him floundering around in the Champ, all those memories fading fast.0

Pretty sure Hunt and Bent both got 20+ goals since Super Clive but take your point. I've got a lot of time for BWP and we wouldn't be where we are without him. Good luck to him but hope he stays at Charlton!RedChaser said:First 20 goals a season striker for yonks ...... Probably since Super Clive which normally equates to promotion and did. Brad done brilliant last season (apart from barren spell) but I trust CP's judgement in who is good enough for this league.0
-
A lot of Bees fans have been less than impressed but he's starting to find form and fitness now so is winning them over. Apparently last night's goal was a bullet near-post header and he had a good game generally.0
-
Pleased he is doing well, and at a decent club too.0

Yes and no :-) Clive Mendonca 28 goals 1997/98 promoted via play offs. Andy Hunt 24 goals 1999/00 promoted as Division 1 Champions, Darren Bent 18 goals 2005/6 13 goals 2006/7 in the Premiership. Oops how could I overlook Andy Hunt :-(The Red Robin said:

Nobody is going to be impressed with a striker who does not score, especially one like BWP who has a languid style. Now he has got a couple, he'll win them over. Lets face it, we were not all impressed during his 1/2 season dry spell and I do know of someone who runs a Charlton list who was told to F Off by BWP when he was calling him a lazy person in his first season with us.Simonsen said:A lot of Bees fans have been less than impressed but he's starting to find form and fitness now so is winning them over. If we're being pedantic, you didn't say league goals, and Darren Bent got 20+ if you include cup goals. However, you were talking about it in the context of getting promoted, so I guess league goals only was implied...RedChaser said:

Pedantic Lifers, surely not. Given that cup goals would not help directly towards promotion your guess is correct plus of course Darren's league goals were nothing to do with a promotion push :-)Powell Is Pleasant said:

BWP did a fantastic job for us last season and helped get us promoted but this season it has looked a league too far. I do think he's a confidence player and so needs to score regularly. Don't think he will be back and will be offloaded but I wish him well and hope he finds a good club.0
-
I've got a horrible feeling he will end up at Millwall.0

The Spanners will love that. They can chant 'thief' and 'your s.i. and your Dad's a c..t' at every match then and to one of their own players.

he could be participating in successive promotions .. good luck to him, a consistent and hard working player0
-
I think he will help fire the Bees to promotion now he is up and running there. He will score important goals in big games for them.0
-
To be fair to BWP most of his games we had Hollands clearly not over his big toe (could he do a job now?) JJ playing wide and we were pretty poor.daveaddick said:BWP did a fantastic job for us last season and helped get us promoted but this season it has looked a league too far. BWP scored twice to pull Brentford level today, and assisted Donaldson for (what will probably be) the winner. My brentford mate says hes gunna snog me next time i see him, a huge win for him. Good on BWP, hopefully he can grab a few more for them (but hopefully i wont be getting any kisses!)0

Pleased for him.0

Yep. Well done Bradders.0

Used my 50 free bet with Ladbrooks from GN on acca of bayern, borroussia and brentford.........the bees l0l
Had given up on it, was gutted 2-1 down with a few minutes left, thankfully our rout had offset the disappointment. Was shocked to see they won 3-1. Get in their Bradders0
