Entertaining 2-2. Another point in the bag and one game less to play

Not too confident for this one despite recent results. Barnsley bossed us at The Valley and we'll have to win the midfield battle this time to stand any chance of getting a result. I'll take a draw.
  • A draw is what were play for But lose It in Last few minutes
    2-1 loss
    Gladly be proved wrong though

As soon as you feel a bit comfortable in this league it tends to trip you up, same as soon as you think you're doomed you get a lift.

I've felt relaxed since Leeds last week, so I think we'll lose this one.

    1-0 Barnsley

Think we'll play five in midfield to try and stop there's controlling the game. Would take a point, but if we play like we have in recent weeks, can't see why we can't win this one.

Am up for this one, the only away day I've not done in this division which should call for some toilet roll action.

Gamewise erm... It will be very tough, arguably harder than Cardiff on Tuesday. I think we'll battle but a lot will depend on how Barnsley start the game, a draw would be a very good result. 2-1 loss if I had to bet.

Defeat from Barnsley, 15 game losing run, relegation and subsequent administration, Valley becomes the "Morrissons very East-Greenwich retail and leisure park" and Chris Powell joins Blackburn as he is the only manager in England they haven't had yet.

    or

Charlton win presages a run of 4-0 victories pushing us into the Playoff zone on goal difference. A Brighton/Charlton final is won by the Addicks on penalties following both sides being reduced to 8 men after a technical area punch-up between CP and GP escalates onto the pitch. A season of humiliating defeats for a team that remains almost unchanged from the one that won League One leads to freefall through the divisions and subsequent administration, Valley becomes the "Morrissons very East-Greenwich retail and leisure park" and Chris Powell joins Blackburn as he is the only manager in England they haven't had yet.

    So, not good.

Can't predict any game this season but would be more than happy with a draw. A win would be a massive bonus.

I like the draw 1-1 perfectly satisfactory result after the last 3 games.

Totally agree with your logic. I have called the wrong result for the last 3 games and feel we will win this one – that means a defeat.
Is that blond haired mid-fielder still playing for them? – from memory he destroyed us at the Valley.
    !-0 to us (I Hope)

We are a different proposition now to the team that played that day!

1-1 or a 2-1 defeat, Barnsley have been excellent since Flitcroft took over and 'Boris' Perkins always plays well against us.

Hughes Jackson Harriot are pivotal up front and so long as the back four stay strong then its at least a draw as we too are storming up the league not just Barnsley. Powell has to make some decisions now on who he is going to keep next season and that is why Fuller should not play even though he is the best holder of the ball. Harriot to score and become a proper regular in the side.

Barnsley are in that horrible position of expecting to win this one. That just does not work in this league. Still think we owe them for last minute 1-0 defeat in 91/92. So 1-1 looks a good bet helping us more than them.

This will be no easy game as Barnsley will be fighting hard, showing some tough South Yorkshire grit to push on to safety. We'll have to be on top of our game to get something from this.
Tomorrow will see Mrs AUN making her debut at a Charlton game so hopefully will prove to be a lucky mascot. If we lose, she better hope I don't make it to ten pints ;o)

    Barnsley 1 Charlton 2

I think we need to set up 4-4-2 for this one but think we'll play 4-5-1 and sit deep. A point is a decent result that Chrissy would probably take now if offered it.

Only a complete fool would try to predict this one.

    1-1

(Jackson 49 from dodgy pen decision
    Barnsley equaliser on 88)
