4th May 2008 - one of the best moments supporting Charlton

Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of Chris Powell's last appearance for us as a player and the 'bullet' goal. Still brings tears to my eyes when I watch the DVD - any chance of seeing it on the big screen tomorrow?

Got a lovely A3 photo of Powell being chaired by the other players, signed by SCP, coming up for sale soon.

Know the photo well as it's adorning my office wall as part of a custom year planner! - that was CatJnrs 1st season and only about his 3rd game and he STILL talks about that goal and CPs kids going on at the end

Sorry, didn't realise it was your place we broke into to steal the photo but the needs of the CL auctions come first : - )

SCP tells a great story about that day.

He was chosen for random drug testing afterwards ("so surprised I scored they must have thought I was on drugs") so had to wait around and when he left nearly everyone had gone home. And that's how he thought his Charlton career was going to end.

A brilliant moment. I assume that we'll finish in a higher place this season? Therefore our highest since we dropped out of the premiership. Strange seeing Colchester V Scunthorpe as a championship match afterwards, they battled it out for league one survival at the end of this season.
