I listened to Chris Powells speech. I hope he has a great holiday with his family and can keep on keeping on. He is easily my favourite all time Charlton Athletic manager, and any idea that another manager could ever be better for us is inconceivable.

It would be class if we could have flags around the ground like Man Utd. Perhaps something the trust could look in to?

The Killer flag was great. Would be fantastic to have a Kermogant and Rufus one too.

Great night, really enjoyed it. Leon Cort was on our table and is a terrific bloke ... bloody tall as well!

Good to meet so many players ... you can see why they are such a close team, they all have enormous respect for each other, and for Chris and all the coaching staff.

Speaking to Leon and Yann, they told me that all the squad believes they will make the play-offs next season ... glad to hear such self-belief and confidence ... it always helps.

Yann says he wants to stay with Charlton for years ... no doubt he was genuine.

Spoke to Scotty Wagstaff and he is definitely on his way ... wished him all the best and hope we see him again one day.

Hughesy is a nutter ... so obvious that the team love him being involved ... Jackson and Hughes seem to get on extremely well.

Good to meet tangoflash who was on our table, and many thanks to Jean (Fanny) for all her hard work - good to meet you.

And Seb doing the worm in Legends after getting his award was superb.

Some of the players were lashed by the end last night.

Very very good evening and a humble bunch of lads. They look bigger on the pitch though - very lean. Old school players would have made them look small side-by-side.

Obika "hopes" he is with us next season but confirmed he is under contract at Spurs.

Powell was very complimentary of Slater and Jiminez.

Pritch practically lived in the same room as me at University, albeit 18 years later !

Recordings of the interviews will be up on player later in the week, probably including Kermo's F bomb and Andy Hughes Sex therapy session.

Cracking night, best bunch of players I've ever known at this club.

I had the pleasure of sitting next to Leon Cort last night and must say what a really decent bloke he is. Chewed his ear off all night. Hughes was sitting on the table one side of me (a complete nutter) and Kermy on the opposite table (I just wanted to tell him I loved him). Along with a few players, I got my photo taken with the 2 best full-backs I've seen at the club, The gaffer & Johnny H. Great night out. Unfortunately unprepared for any autographs (only found out I was def going at 4:30)

Many thanks to Fanny for sorting out the ticket...............

The bloke is without doubt a legend. It's not like he's old either. I wonder what his final score will be ? What a stunning achievement.
