would love to be able to live and work in the states like that. Regardless of the level, good luck to him.

Didn't reamsofverse say he was the next parker though? :(

"Previous Club: Charlton Athletic (England League One)".

Hmmmm .....lazy hack journalism is rife.
  • Ruben Izquierdo
    Position: Midfielder
    Pronunciation: roo-BEN eez-SCARE-doh

I can't imagine that sort of information being in a player profile on an English site.

Does this release some wage money?

Can't imagine it being more that £1k a week if that !
Wonder if its loan or permanent , saw an article on him when he was on trial and it suggested he was going on loan

Surprised. Level in MLS is similar to Championship.

Good luck to him though, great shift in lifestyle.

Thanks for everything charlton has done for me in this 2 years, and making my professional debut with them. Official a NYRB player. #cafc

Shame to see him go, as though he did look a bit lightweight physically he certainly had some skill. I guess we can't/couldn't afford to wait and see whether he would make it or not.

  • Needed to go on an intensive meat puddings and Guinness diet if he was to make an impact in the English game.
  • Good uck to him, their other ex charlton player is doing very well the last time i checked.

I'm wondering what happened to the strangely excited ex teacher of his that came on here? All a bit unusual.

He started nyrb's first mls game of the season last night, along with Henry, Cahill, Juninho etc in a 3-3 draw away to Portland.
Think it was a sellout 20,000 there too.

You can say the standard isn't great, but i think that beats spending two years in the reserves of a league 1 and now championship team.
Good to see him get a break.

New York Red Bulls midfield last night had 228 international caps between them.

Just watching this weeks MLS highlights. No sign of our lads but Henry grabbed a brace including this fantastic bicycle kick

Didnt realise he was back in England playing league football

Looking at tonights scores I noticed he came on for Barnet.

He signed Jan 2017, still remember when he signed for us and him and Popo went out to San Roque, Following them both of twitter they seemed to be out more than they was training.

    Wonder where Popo is now
