On the plus side

The stripey Nigels didn't beat us in the playoffs ;-)

  • Plus we get to go to Brighton again rather than Croydon or Watford. Hopefully on a warm Saturday afternoon rather than a freezing Tuesday in April.

    Visits to Bournemouth and Brighton - two positives - need the fixture computer to be kind with the dates!

    Brighton is also:

    1. an excellent away trip - especially given the quality of the pubs in Lewes and the proximity of Brighton (for the weekenders);

    2. a club that will fill the Jimmy Seed Stand next season ( so we won't lose out financially );

    3. Palace's presence will provide an added frission to this year's play-off final.

    If the very worst comes to pass, is it really like to hurt us attendance wise, given the geographical catchment area and the likelihood that( Zaha-less) they will come straight down ?

    On the plus side: Palace go up and break their own amount of relegations from the premier league record, again

    The onlyplus side is that we get to go to Brighton again next season. However, you can see them being stronger whereas you can see Palace being relegation candidates .
    Although, in saying that Palace were much the better team tonight.

    How many tickets did the Nigels get given for that? Looked the same as we had.

    Millwall and Palace both at Wembley for proper games in the same season gives SCP something to think about for next year doesn't it? We are under-represented there.

    My son was saying how pants Zaha was ( before he scored his 2 goals i hasten to add) thinking of locking him in a cupboard for the playoff final until its all over.

    This - remember this season the fixture computer gave us a Saturday and it was moved to a Tuesday on police advice. There is no way they will ever let us play there at the weekend, so best not to get our hopes up! :-(

    First game of the season is actually gay pride weekend.

    Hundreds of thousands of gays and lesbians attend so doubtful they will be at home that weekend.

    Wembley will need a serious Dettol and Febreeze treatment after this season.

    How will you encourage Zaha to go into the cupboard before you lock it.
