Why is it that you remember the most random things from the player profiles in the old away match day programmes?
Excluding the old favourite about Robert Lee and the turnstiles at the Valley, the ones that stick with me are:
1) John Humphrey was born in Paddington
2) Paul Williams was a trainee accountant
3) Colin Walsh was once an unused substitute for Scotland against Israel
I am sure that there are many more !
