Holiday money - best rates

I need some Euros. A google search came up with these sites.

A) To compare

B) Had the best rate. Bearing in mind so many "dodgy" sites, I just thought I'd ask if anyone uses these ?

Merci beaucoup

  • Thomas Exchange Global or Ice plc (if you print out the free voucher) are the best over the counter and non dodgy rates in London in my opinion.

Thomas is on the strand or at Liverpool street. Ice at Waterloo and many others.

Always use Thomas Global on the Strand too, they generally seem to be the best. Although there's a little tourist tack shop next door that did me a really good deal on USD a couple of months ago.

Got 1.289 euros at moneycorp few weeks back but then again I work for them and get the sell rate !!!

Check if your bank card had free withdrawals from foreign cash points. If so just get cash out as you go as normally a better rate out there.

I've used b) several times. Most recently for a jaunt to Croatia last year. I pick up from the desk at Covent Garden so can't comment on postal orders.

They have always been excellent value in the past.

    That's what I wanted to hear :-)

Thanks to all, thought the info would come in handy for others in any case at this time of year.
