Does that mean Mick E and co getting a nee boss ?
This is what I don't really understand, if we are losing serious money (fact) actively looking to sell the club (fact), and have little in the way of transfer budget (spec), then why do we continue to laden the organisation with more costly non-football execs and department heads ?

Might stick me cv in for that!0

Saw this last night and thought the same.0

Perhaps, they first task, is to cut the costs of the organisation (non football).0
-
Not the cv bit. But how the fact that not one of us has any idea about the inner workings of our football club anymore.0

Unless this new head of facilities management comes on a free or a loan, there's no chance of this happening. FACT0

An incredibly short timescale. You wonder how many candidates will miss out if they're on holiday that week, or can't make the Thursday?
Closing date: Sunday, July 14th
Successful candidates will be contacted on Monday, July 15th to attend an interview on Thursday, July 18th.0 -

Is there a height requirement?0

I imagine this post has already been filled, but the club have to advertise it for legal reasons. The short timescale then makes perfect sense, it is designed to exclude as many potential candidates as possible.0
-
Which legal reasons? I thought that was only the case in the public sector? Unless it's giving Mick Everett the opportunity to apply for his own role effectively.randy andy said:I imagine this post has already been filled, but the club have to advertise it for legal reasons. perhaps the stadium is in imminent danger of falling down0 -
and the successful candidate is............................
A director's friend/son/sister / nephew/ neighbour - or combination of these......... etc etc etc.0 -
Think this is driven by the state of the pitch and some of the other facilities.0
-
Isn't nathan looking for a job?0
-
Perhaps they bring in one experienced head of team who then rationalises the rest of the team = net save of cash outflow?0
-
Would the remit of this include improving the queues for food/drink in the north upper on match days ? If so and they manage it well they'd probably make their salary back in increases sales.0

The maintenance man has been made redundant and Mick is reduced to three days a week and will only be responsible for overseeing matchday and related issues, not the stadium, so I guess that's how it's funded. We've had a facilities manager before and it's not a senior post, i.e. it will report to Steve Bradshaw.0
