    McClaren must be good at his job, probably a great number 2, not such a good number 1 (Though he has managed a Dutch title winning outfit and Middlesbrough to their first major trophy and to runners up in the UEFA cup) .. I can't see Ferguson employing a total dummy to coach the Beckhams and Keanes of this world. McClaren and 'arry could prove to be a great combination

    I do agree Lincs...although if it goes wrong, I can see a paper mocking them up as Laurel & Hardy!

    Steve McClaren is the most successful Englishman manager still in the game.

    Although I don't feel that he is anywhere near as talented as the great managers in the game; He is without doubt a lucky manager. The old adage is true that those that are lucky will always beat those that are good.
