Any other oldies see him last night in Greenwich? Cracking gig. Sadly he admitted to being Millwall - he's from Deptford/New Cross - but he did refer to Greenwich as "Charltonland".

    He never recovered from losing the Phantom role to Michael Crawford. Apparently he was nailed on but dropped right at the last minute.

    He went to Haberdashers' Aske's in New Cross - a few years above me. He and his step-brother Ian lived by the Bus Station in New Cross, so Millwall was there local team.

    saw him a few years ago at shepherds bush empire great gig, he seemed visibly moved by the reception and encore he got.
