Anyone still looking to purchase a 1947 Cup final programme? A very rare copy signed by all 11 players from the Charlton winning team has come into my possession and I will be looking to sell it within the next few months.0

Interesting kit choice "black knickers" ; )0

Without being a graphologist, it's interesting to compare the players' handwriting over the years. 1947 - neat and legible. Today, as evinced by signed shirts - a completely illegible scrawl.0

I noticed that too0

This copy will go up for auction later in the year around October time. Just to give everyone the heads up, the item on show at present does have it's faults. The back cover is missing and has been replaced by a photocopy, with tape around the spine. This item is genuine and the rest of the programme is in a good condition for its age. However due to the fact that re the signatures on it, this is very rare and i will be looking for an excellent price for it, to raise money for the hospice.C.Walsh'sLoveChild said:When are you going to be selling it?
Don't forget the other items currently up for auction on the top at present. Many Thanks

So, if I was to replace the damaged cover with a good one from another Cup Final programme would it increase the value or devalue it?0
-
Devalue it, would only be worth a tenner, but id give you 15 for it.delroofer said:So, if I was to replace the damaged cover with a good one from another Cup Final programme would it increase the value or devalue it?

How lucky am I.
An acquaintance in my local Working Men's Club ( I didn't even know his name) used to briefly chat to me about football results ( he supports Leeds).
I haven't see seen him for five years since moving away from the area, although he sees my wife who still works local in our previous town.
The acquaintance was recently bequeathed a bunch of FA Cup Final programmes in good condition from a recently deceased friend, and on casually flicking through them, came across the 1947 progamme. He passed that on to my wife for me!22 -
Shame it was not Exeter 1921.PeterGage said:How lucky am I.
