It might be a good thing in terms of the Prem clubs hanging on to less of the talent. Not sure it wouldn't further separate the haves from the have nots thought.

If loans were abolished completely It would help to reduce the number of youngsters being poached or mean the big clubs would have to release more young players. The last few seasons Man U and Arsenal etc. have loaned out dozens of players. Where would they play ? The top clubs would be forced to cut their squads.
  • Its only "emergency" loans they want to stop, season long loans are still OK, so the big boys will still hoover up all of the talent and loan them out.

It should be completely abolished. This would stop all the big clubs buying up all of the talent produced by the 'real clubs' and then loaning them out. I am all for it being rid of.

Abolish it and it will be a quick way to say Bury and Rochdale effectively becoming Man United B and Man United C.

Not sure that would happen with the EPPP - they will still get players on the cheap and just leave them to sit in the reserves etc though.

Yes, that's how I understand it. It's typical FIFA. They're proposing to retain that part of the loan system that ought to be abolished and to stop the part that represents the only justification for allowing loans, i.e. emergencies. You really couldn't make it up. The world game's governing body is totally and utterly incompetent.

    Creates an unfair playing field.
    Abolish it!
