So now they give a 5 year contract to some old geezer who no one (outside the club and FA apart from Steven Gerrard) has heard of.....

is that true or a joke ? I reckon he'd jump at the chance. I've always thought he's loyal to a Club until a bigger(?) one wants him. I'm happy he's our Manager at the moment but I don't feel he'll be around long. That's another reason why Parky won't leave any time soon as he's Manager in Waiting.

Would be a good choice for them, but they will still struggle.

Why would Pards want to go there? They are doomed. The best way for him to manage in the Prem is to stay with us.

I don't thnik he would take it, for a start he looks like having a good season with us and taking us to the Premier League with some decent players. Bolton will struggle whoever takes over and Anelka will be off in January.

    What he says.

Pards will jump at the first bigger club to come after him, that i'm sure.

    But Bolton aren't one though.

That could well be their best short term option.

Scene Two: The training ground at Sparrows Lane.

Pardew: "Oi! Millsy, Get off that F******* PC, get out on the training pitch and practice looking at the oppo in a nasty way.

Mills: "Hang on boss, just reading Charlton Life, You should read what there saying about you and the Bolton Job"

Pardew: "Sod that stupid site, get the AA route finder up and find out the best way to the Reebok"

Hasn't Gary Speed just been relieved of his coaching duties at Bolton?

Yes and was about to be sent on loan somewhere according to the BBC...

I think Paul Jewell will get the job.

Pardew will stay until a decent Prem team come in for him - not Bolton and not in their situation he's been there and done that with Charlton...

to be honest, i don't see how anyone can go straight into the Premiership as their first managerial job nowadays. Its simply too big a job to do without some form of experience.

As soon as I heard about this I went down Coral to stick a tenner on Paul Jewell but he's 4/6 favourite not really worth it.

Jewell will be manager of Bolton next week
